Located in northeast Georgia, the town of
Royston was once the home of one of our national pastime's greatest legends.
Today, it's a wonderful small town of just under 2,500 people, providing
citizens with a welcoming atmosphere, yet still possessing all the conveniences
they need.
Franklin County was created in 1784 and originally encompassed all of
what would later become Banks, Barrow, Clarke, Jackson, Oconee and
Stephens counties, plus parts of Gwinnett, Hall, Hart and Madison
counties, as well as 3 counties in the as-yet-unformed state of South
Carolina.
Nestled in the rolling hills of Georgia's Upper Piedmont, Victoria
Bryant State Park is one of Georgia's best kept secrets. A beautiful
stream flows through the park, providing a beautiful setting for a
picnic.
